Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake
Camryn and Kenzi and I were making Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake, and I needed the girls to unwrap all the Andes mints. Camryn asked, "How is Kenzi going to do THAT?" I told her to teach her how to unwrap the mints. So she did! And do you know that little two year old didn't eat one mint until the very last one! I took a dozen pictures, but couldn't get a great picture of the two of them until I snapped this one as Kenzi took a bite. The recipe is done in a springform pan with crushed mint Oreos on the bottom, the Andes mints lined up around the inside of the pan, like little soldiers, and then put in the softened mint ice cream mixed together with Cool Whip. Sprinkle crushed mint oreos on top and freeze. YUM! ~Teri
More Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is one of my very favorite times. Our kids are pick names and do a gift exchange among each other. They don't know who has their name, they are just focused on giving the gift to the one whose name they had. I love that. Carson bought for Kenzi. She loved her jammies and her crocs. Kristie bought for Camryn and of course, she loved all her goodies! Each year the kids have a different name. My favorite pictures are of the giver giving the gift. The anticipation in their face is precious. I didn't do as good of a job capturing that this year, but here are some pictures.....a glimpse of that night.....

Guess who???
BP Check
Every once in a while we have to take Scott's blood pressure. We got the BP machine out and Kenzi climbed up in the chair before Scott got there and wanted her turn first. Having her see us take Scott's blood pressure turned out to be a blessing. When we went to the Cardiologist early in December, they took Kenzi's blood pressure on each leg and each arm and she just kept saying, "Daddy?". Yep! Just like Daddy. It's so fun to be like Daddy! ~Teri
Do Your Ears Hang Low?
Ever since Kyle was a baby, when we take the kids' shirts off over their heads and the arms of the shirt hang down, we sing the song, "Do Your Ears Hang Low....". Kenzi thought that was so funny, which was a nice distraction from getting ready for bed. I love how the shirt is pushing down on her "eyebows" (rhymes with now) as she calls them. ~Teri
Kristie's Special Night
Kristie earned her Young Womanhood Award on her 16th birthday:) Her youth group, had a special night honoring her and celebrating her accomplishment. Both sets of grandparents came to celebrate too! What a treat! In our church Young Women group, there is a program called Personal Progress which includes 7 values. (Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice & Accountability, Good Works and Integrity). There are 6 required experiences they do for each value and then a 10 hour service project for each value. Also, through the program the girls establish great habits like daily scripture reading, daily prayer and journaling. The young women can begin the program at age 12 and they have until they are 18 to finish it. When you complete the program, you get your Young Womanhood Award. Kristie always wanted to finish by age 16 and she did it!! We are so proud of her! The Sunday after she finished, she learned that there has been a new value added to the program. It is Virtue. Now she has another value to work on! ~Teri

Happy Birthday, Kristie!
Happy Thanksgiving! This picture was taken the day after Thanksgiving when we were in Columbus for the long Thanksgiving weekend. We had breakfast with Santa at Smith & Wollensky's. We decorated cookies, took pictures with Santa, watched his REAL reindeer outside the restaurant and had a yummy breakfast! ~Teri
