Look what I did!!
I was supposed to have a card making class using a Stampin' Up! kit meant for scrapbooking on Friday. It was called the Best Ever Birthday kit. Well, to make a long story short, the kits didn't ship on time and I wouldn't have them in time for the class. Stampin' Up! helped me out by letting me pick a different kit and they overnighted them to me, so I would get them Thursday morning. So, I had Thursday to design 16 cards using this new kit for my class the next day. And.....I did it! I was really excited about how cute they turned out:) ~Teri
NICU friends
We try to get together each month with our friends from the NICU, Lydia, Sydney and William and their sister Ava. The triplets were born 3 weeks before Kenzi at 28 weeks (on Camryn's birthday) and they were in the isolettes right by Kenzi. I became good friends with their mom, Terrie. It is so nice to have someone who knows what you went through. I am so thankful for her! This picture was taken at the end of our playdate last week. Mental note: take pictures at the BEGINNING of the playdates. After each playdate, we email a picture to the NICU, so they can see how they are growing and how well they are doing. ~Teri
Kenzi Lyn
My grandma was a fabulous seamstress. She made almost all of my clothes when I was growing up. This is an adorable little hot pink coat and bonnet that she made for me. Now it fits Kenzi! Scott called Kenzi, "Kenzi-Rita" the other day. She said, "No! Kenzi-Roo" Her real name is Kenzi Lyn, but I am not sure she will know that name. We all call her Kenzi Roo. Want to know why??? (if you have heard this story, just skip it!) When I was pregnant with Kenzi, we were talking about how her name needed to begin with a "K" sound, just like all the rest of our kids. At the time, Camryn was four years old. One morning at 6am, she woke me up to tell me that she thought of a K name! "Kangaroo!" When we told Scott, he said, "Oh, how cute, we can call her Little Roo!" Well, then Kenzi was born at 24 weeks and spent 95 days in the NICU. As we walked in the NICU for one of the first times, we saw these little pink or blue kangaroos on the sides of the isolettes. They were for the babies that were kangarooed. (placed skin on skin on their parents' chests, which aids their development) We joked with our kids that that was a sign that we should name our baby, Kangaroo. Well, we didn't end up naming her Kangaroo, but she will always be our Little Roo, Kenzi Roo or Roo Who. ~Teri

Callahan and Tommy
Callahan has had so much fun with our neighbor Tommy. They take turns going over to each other's houses many afternoons a week. They love to play the same things. They are easy going, happy boys. I love having them here. This is a serious(?) game of Monopoly! Now they call each other on the phone after school and say, "Want to do an hour, an hour?" (That's an hour at my house, an hour at yours.) That would be a good day. Sometimes it is only a 30-30 day (that would be minutes, not hours). Too short! ~Teri
Marchants
Family Home Evening
We always have Family Home Evening each week where we have a family night of a Gospel lesson, scripture, quote, snack, song, game and opening and closing prayer. We all rotate with each task. This is a picture of when it was Kenzi's turn to do the lesson. She is showing Sadie, our dog, a picture of Jesus. She was so cute! ~Teri

Lack of blogging excuse
We were off to a great start at Christmas time, when we started this blog. Then Scott and I went to Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference for a few days in January and I don't think it has slowed down since! I signed up for an online Boot Camp program to jumpstart my Stampin' Up! business and that is 6 weeks long. We are going on Week 4 tomorrow. It has really been a great learning experience, but very busy. We are supposed to have a workshop a week and normally I have about 1 or 2 a month, so that was doubling what a normally do. So far, so good! I am so grateful for the great friends I keep meeting through stamping. I love being a demonstrator and teaching others how to stamp and scrapbook! There is just something about making a card or scrapbook page yourself, that brings joy. And lucky for me, copying is allowed!! I have more to post, but the site is not letting me upload pictures, so I'll end for now:) ~Teri
She's goin' to Hollywood!
We were sitting on the couch watching American Idol the other night and in walks Kenzi in her snuggly footed pajamas, carrying a music stand from the dining room. She set it in front of the tv facing all of us on the couch, put her Arthur book on it and started singing. We judges all voted YES and she is now goin' to Hollywood as the youngest American Idol contestant!! We will let you know when and where to cast your votes:)
