Craftin' again....

Kristie had an intense week of studying for midterms, so when Friday came and she was finished, we had to do some crafting! Look at these adorable flowers and rosettes and cards we made! Elizabeth came over and they cranked out a LOT of rosettes!! SO fun!

Ice Cream with the Becksteads

Our sweet friends, the Becksteads, who just moved here this summer, are moving back to Idaho:( Camryn and Alexis are two peas in a pod. They hit it off the minute they met and have had a ball every since. We all went to Olympia Chocolates for ice cream after our last playdate. We will miss you Becksteads!!

Playdate

Susie helped me make the most darling skirt for Kenzi. While we were sewing, Kenzi and Addy played dress up. They had so much fun!

Dinner anyone?

Carson had to make dinner for us. I LOVE those assignments for school! It was so yummy!! I think he should do it one day each week!!

Camryn's Hobby

At our last Brownie meeting, each of the girl's had to show their hobby and tell about it. Here is Camryn, who's hobby is.....stamping! (I did NOT prompt her!) She gathered her four favorite stamp pad colors and the coordinating cardstock, of course. Then she picked a couple of her favorite stamp sets and stood in front of her 13 Brownie friends and told them all about her hobby. She is SO comfortable speaking to a group of people. I attribute that to our church. The Primary kids, ages 3-11, start speaking in front of people by saying the opening and closing prayers and giving little talks on various topics at age 3. So neat!

Kenzi

Kenzi is no longer in nursery in church. All the kids that turn 3 before January 1st are now in the Sunbeam class. They are SO cute! On Sunday, it was her turn to say the closing prayer in front of 50 Primary kids. None of us really thought she would do it, but we talked to her about it and gave her the choice of someone to help her. She wanted Mommy to help her. So both of us walked up to the front of the room, she stepped up on the little stool of the podium, and folded her arms.......I had told her to repeat what I said, so I whispered what to say and she....whispered it too. I tried again, and she whispered again. So finally, I said it out loud and she....repeated it out loud!!! She did the whole prayer by repeating what I said. She did it! We were so proud of her!!

Love What You Do

I attended the Stampin' Up Leadership Conference in Phoenix last week. The theme was, "Love What You Do" What an incredible company Stampin' Up is. I learned so much and loved being there. The best part was that Scott came with me and did some work out in Phoenix while I attended classes. It is so neat that I DO love what I do. I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator AND I love being a mom (and wife). How blessed I am.

We went to dinner with our dear, dear friends, the Bowlers. We had so much catching up to do, that we could have talked all night long. We miss them so much.

We also went to dinner with Mike, Marie, Peri and Payton. So fun to see them again. We wanted to sneak them into our suitcases and bring them home to play with cousins. We couldn't though, because they were getting their new puppy, Murphy, the day after we left. Welcome to the family, Murphy. He is a golden retriever and so, so cute.

NICU friends

Kenzi calls her NICU friends, "my triplets". We braved the snowstorm to get to the Rommell's house to play. It is not very often that we are ALL completely healthy (5 kids in their family and 6 in ours), so we were getting together, snow and all!! I could just sit and watch these little miracle babies play all day long. Knowing how far they have come and what we all went through together makes me SO grateful!! Thanks for a fun day!!

Ice Skating and Panera Bread

We are ready to skate! Marie and my dad were the photographers and cheerleaders. My mom and I always try to take our kids ice skating for the first time when they are four years old. Kenzi is three and it was her first time skating. I got her skates on and realized I didn't put on her snow pants, so off came the skates and we started over. Then I threw on my skates and grabbed her hand, because she had no idea that these things are hard to walk in!
Yes, we skated like this for an hour and a half:) Sometimes Michael or my mom took Kenzi, but she never wanted to get off the rink and never wanted to take a break. If she was distracted, watching everyone around her, she would actually skate quite well. I was so proud of her!

Warm soup at Panera! YUM!!

SLEEPOVER and SNOW...what could be better?

Our cousins from Arizona are always hoping for snow when they come for Christmas. They were NOT disappointed!
Picture perfect picture on the slide. I think this is a yearly event:)
Ok, so not so picture perfect. Everyone's legs were stuck and getting smooshed. OUCH!

Can you see Peri buried in the snow????
Playing Still and Solemn Occasion in the snow.
