Every four years, our church's youth conference is a Pioneer Trek. They reenact the Pioneer Trek, with handcarts, mas and pas and a really long 3 day walk and camping out under the stars. They put the kids into "families" and they each have a ma and a pa. They dress like pioneers, they eat like pioneers, and they pull the handcarts the whole way. It is a lot of work, but their testimonies grow of the pioneers' sacrifice and love of the Gospel. Our friends, the Kummers, let us borrow the outfit that Kristie wore. Lynda made it for her girls when they went on Trek. Thanks Lynda!!
