Kristie is an expert at making drip castles. Kenzi loves to jump in the waves and be in the ocean with everyone. One day when we went to the beach this vacation, no one was in the water when we got there. It was kind of an eery feeling. Some people were just standing and looking towards the ocean. We asked the lifeguards what was going on and they said a school of stingray just went through, so we should wait 10 minutes before going in the water. Yikes!
We drove part way to Hiltonhead, same as last year. We found this cute park with a walking trail. It feels SO good to walk and play and NOT BE SITTING!
Callahan loves to have an end of the year party at our house with his buddies. This year they did the slip and slide and the bubble gum/whipped creme race. Of course, Kenzi is right in there with them!
Carson received lots of awards, including the Student of the Year in History, Outstanding Student Award for all A's for two years, and the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award. Awesome job, Carson!!
Camryn got to sing with Jaden, play a piano piece solo and play a duet with me this year. SHE did great! I, on the other hand, needed a little more practice:( Camryn loves taking lessons from Sister Snyder:)
Karen Shiffert, a customer and friend, organized a service project where she and some friends and I stamped 160 cards to send to Operation Write Home. This organization gives cards to people serving our country, so they can write in them and send them to loved ones at home. She asked me to design the cards and cut and prepare them to be stamped. I donated my time and she paid for the supplies. It was a really fun morning! Another fun stamp camp!
We went to Nana and Grandpa's house with Gramma and Papa, Danielle and David, and Becky for a Memorial Day picnic. We ate outside on the picnic table that Scott's grandpa, Hector, made. It has a lazy susan built in the center of the table. We played Corn Hole, ate, played cards, ate and ate some more:) They have a hot tub with a little gazebo around it and Kenzi thinks that is her little play house.
Our church always has a fun Memorial Day breakfast. We did sack races, relay races, squirt guns and the famous bubble gum in the whipped creme race. (the first one to blow a bubble...wins!)
